Plans second-generation product that would provide seamless integration

of personal health information with medical databases of providers and payors

BOYNTON BEACH, Fla.,—August 18, 2004—Med-InfoChip, LLC, announced today that based on the overwhelming interest in the Med-InfoChip™ by consumers, it is launching a partnering initiative with managed care organizations.

The Med-InfoChip™ is an innovative product that allows consumers to create, store and share their electronic medical profile. Designed to be worn around the neck, attached to a keychain or carried in a wallet, the lightweight, affordable “plug and play” device inserts into a USB port on any computer for easy access by a patient, physician or emergency responder. Med-InfoChip, LLC is currently working on a second-generation product that will allow healthcare providers and payors to capture data directly from the Med-InfoChip™ and seamlessly integrate it into their databases. Having the ability to upload this information would reduce data entry time, reduce errors and allow doctors to spend more time with patients and improve the quality of care. It would also facilitate a rapid transfer of patient information from one doctor to another and enable patients to better interact with doctors within and outside a managed care network.
